Ascendance magazine was devised to encourage everyone to submit their own creative work and ideas for possible publication. This can be absolutely anything where photography/ visual communication is a driver for the piece.
Your submission will be reviewed and considered, and you will be contacted at the earliest convenience whether we could like to feature the submission or not. Our submissions are always open, so even if we do not publish your first submission, please don’t be put off from submitting further work or ideas.
A few things to consider prior to submission;
Is the work your own intellectual copyright?
We only accept original work. (All work published in Ascendance Magazine remains copyright to the originators)
Who is creating the work?
If you would like Ascendance to create the work, please mark the submissions as ‘collaboration’
If you are creating the work, please ensure ALL contributors are mentioned and please ensure all these details are correct.
Is the work previously published?
Exclusivity is key for us to remain fresh, relevant and to drive visitors to the site, so please only submit ideas or work which has not yet been published elsewhere.
Format:
Ascendance magazine is an online magazine only. We do not provide print on demand, PDF’s or tearsheets. All published content appears in chronological order on the website. We will utilise pieces of publications across our social media for promotional purposes. You are welcome to use screen grabs and links of the publication across your own social media, providing you credit Ascendance Magazine and all involved in the work.
Publication dates:
Ascendance is a blog style magazine. We do not have a periodical release schedule, all articles are published as they become ready, this could be daily. Some features may be released to coincide with certain dates. Of course, as a contributor, you are advised in advanced of publication dates.
Payment.
All work submitted, if published by Ascendance Magazine is published for promotional purposes only. No monetary fees are payable. We do not charge visitors, use advertisers or pay creators for content. The agreement of publication is of mutual benefit to Ascendance Magazine and the featured creatives.
