What’s this, twenty questions?… Romanian Born, and Cheshire based model Daniela Georgiana has worked with Lance on a few occasions now. From working on location fashion to creating beauty looks for Vogue’s recent ‘What is beauty?’ competition. We caught up with Daniela following her latest shoot with Lance… AM: Hi Daniela, good to see you! DG: Hello, good to speak with you! AM: Tell us an interesting thing or two about yourself! DG:    I consider myself a very creative individual. I have too many things I enjoy doing including cooking and writing poems. AM: Do you have a fave model/ actor/ singer/ musician or regular person who inspires you? DG:   I draw my inspiration from so many people out there. Angelina Jolie is definitely one of them. I look up to her acting & modelling career, and her upcoming atelier “Atelier Jolie”, giving opportunities to designers globally, I think it’s pretty amazing. AM: What would be your ultimate photoshoot? DG: I love exotic places, they boost my dopamine so much. Definitely a photoshoot in a tropical jungle. AM: Does being where you are from influence your modelling career in any way? DG: Physically I wouldn’t say so,  personality wise perhaps. I enjoy a good chat between taking pictures, it makes the whole experience a whole lot better. AM: What made you decide to get into modelling?   DG: Many people in my life told me I should, but it wasn’t until I saw the outcome of my first ever shoot when I decided that this was something I wanted to carry on with. AM: What do your family and friends think about you modelling?  DG:  They all supported me from day one, in anything I do, especially modelling. AM: Do you think it is important for models, photographers, other creatives who are working together to have strong working relationships and to support each other? DG: Absolutely! A strong working relationship is what leads to the comfort and confidence of both, and that’s quite the only way amazing outcomes are made. AM: What would be the worst thing you could be asked to do on a photoshoot, what would freak you out? DG: Asking to shoot with spiders or snakes. I am pretty excited when it comes to trying new ideas, but spiders are a big NO! AM: What is your favourite thing about modelling so far? DG:  I like to see personal improvement through my shoots, from facial expressions to poses. Also, networking with people.  AM: What is the toughest part of a model’s job? DG: This will be different for each model. I find it difficult to look for a tough part in modelling because I enjoy it so much. Perhaps finding more opportunities for myself.  AM: What is your favourite part of a photoshoot?  DG: I like everything about a shoot, not just the outcomes. It’s the location, conversations and fun that makes it a great experience.  AM: What do you think is your greatest strength/ best attribute as a person or as a model? DG: Confidence. Be confident with yourself and don’t be afraid to try new ideas, 99% of the time it will turn out to have been one of your best shots. AM: How do you feel about the amount of travel involved in modelling?  DG: Travelling isn’t a problem if I am certain the outcome will be beneficial to me in the long run. AM: How do you handle rejection as a model? (Have you had to?) DG: The modelling world is filled with opportunities of all kinds, if a specific kind of modelling doesn’t fit me it will open the door for another opportunity. Rejection shouldn’t always be seen as a bad thing. AM: If you could change one thing about the industry, what might it be? DG: The standards have obviously changed and now have given many people the opportunity to become a model. I would definitely lean towards all models being role-models and rather than teaching unnecessary things to the younger audience looking up to them. AM: Do you have a back up plan if the modelling doesn’t work out long term? Or, what are you also doing as a career?  DG:   Yes, many in fact. I love music and designing just as much. I would remain in the fashion industry whether I fail or not. AM: What are your hobbies? What do you enjoy doing?  DG:  I like reading and writing a lot. Composing Poems, stories, songs, etc. I could list my hobbies through a whole page or two.  AM: What do you look for in a project, or photographers work before you agree to collaborate with them?  DG: There is a theme/ idea initiated before anything. I like being prepared and having more than just my essentials with me, it makes me feel better about what I’m doing. AM: What did you enjoy most about collaborating with Lance?  DG: Apart from being super talented on photography and final photos, Lance is a very open minded person. It is amazing being able to talk about and exchange opinions on many things whilst with Lance. He is fun to shoot with and always knows how to capture the best angles for sure!
